The Organizing Center Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Tectonica Labs, Inc. ("Tectonica," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Tectonica Organizing Center product to help group leaders and their organizations manage communications, scheduling, and member engagement.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, contact us at info@organizing.center.

This Privacy Policy applies to users of the Organizing Center and should be read together with our Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service on matters of data handling, this Policy governs.

2. Beta / Pilot Notice

The Organizing Center is currently offered as a beta / pilot product. Our features, data practices, and integrations are actively evolving. Because of this, we may update this Privacy Policy more frequently than a company would for a fully mature product. We encourage you to review this page periodically, and we will update the "Last updated" date above whenever changes are made. Material changes will be communicated as described in Section 10 below.

3. Eligibility and Jurisdiction

The Organizing Center is available to users who are 18 years of age or older and located in the United States or United Kingdom. Your use of the product, and this Privacy Policy, are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, consistent with our Terms of Service.

If you are located in the United Kingdom, please see Section 9 below regarding how to contact us about your personal data.

4. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Account data: your name, email address, and related account credentials.
  • User content: coach conversations, notes, and contact/member information that you (as a group leader) manage within the product.
  • Google GSuite data (only if you connect your Google account): see Section 7 for details specific to this integration.
  • Usage data: information about how you interact with the product, such as feature usage and log data, which helps us operate and improve the service.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use the data described above to:

  • Operate, maintain, and provide the core functionality of the Organizing Center;
  • Support and respond to you;
  • Secure the product and prevent misuse; and
  • Improve and develop the service.

We do not train AI models on your coach conversations or uploaded content. The one exception is image generation: our image model may train on images generated from scratch within the product, and only with your explicit first-use consent. See Section 6 for the infrastructure providers involved.

6. Who We Share Data With

We work with a small number of infrastructure and processing partners to provide the Organizing Center:

  • Change Agent — the underlying platform infrastructure for the Organizing Center. Change Agent's own privacy policy, incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service, governs its handling of data on our behalf.
  • Black Forest — used for image generation features.
  • Tectonica Digital Campaign Solutions, SL — used for the development of the platform.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with these processors only as needed to operate the service, and we do not permit them to use your data for purposes beyond providing services to us.

A note on other services generally

Many mainstream technology services — including large platforms like Google — use data to train their own general-purpose AI models as part of their standard terms. This is a general feature of the technology landscape and is separate from our own data practices described in this Policy. It does not describe how Tectonica handles your data, and it specifically does not apply to how we handle Google user data accessed through our Google Calendar integration — that is governed exclusively by the Limited Use commitments in Section 8 below.

7. Google Suite Integration

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, the Organizing Center accesses the following Google data:

  • Your Google Calendar events (titles, times, locations, and descriptions) that you have granted us permission to read; and
  • A dedicated "Organizing Center" calendar that we create within your Google account to sync our events to you.

What we use this data for: scheduling and reminder functionality within the Organizing Center — nothing more. We do not use this data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models of any kind (see Section 8).

How it's stored and deleted: OAuth tokens are stored in encrypted form. Calendar data is accessed and stored only as needed to provide the scheduling feature. If you disconnect your Google account, your OAuth tokens and any calendar data we have mirrored are deleted.

8. Google Limited Use Disclosure

The Organizing Center's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, with respect to data obtained through Google APIs, we commit that we:

  • Do not transfer or sell this data to third parties, except as necessary to provide or improve the features of the Organizing Center, with your consent, or as required by applicable law;
  • Do not use this data for advertising purposes;
  • Do not allow humans to read this data, except in the following limited circumstances: with your affirmative consent, for security purposes (e.g., investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or as part of merged/aggregated and anonymized operations; and
  • Do not use this data to train or improve generalized, non-personalized AI or machine learning models.

This commitment applies specifically and exclusively to data accessed through Google APIs, and governs regardless of any general commentary elsewhere in this Policy about how other technology platforms typically handle data (see Section 6).

9. Member and Supporter Data

If you are a group leader using the Organizing Center to manage members or supporters, you act as the controller of the personal data you hold about those individuals within the product. Your collection and use of that data is subject to the consent-gated model described in our Terms of Service, and you are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate rights and consents to manage that data through the Organizing Center.

10. Storage, Retention, and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at info@organizing.center. Upon account deletion, we will delete your data in accordance with our internal retention procedures, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

11. Your Choices and How to Reach Us

If you have questions about the personal data we hold about you, would like to request access to it, or would like it corrected or deleted, please contact us at info@organizing.center. This applies to all users, including those located in the United Kingdom. We will respond to your request in a reasonable timeframe.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly given the beta/pilot status of the product described in Section 2. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly (for example, by email or in-product notice).

This Privacy Policy should be read together with the Organizing Center Terms of Service, available at Terms of Service.
