Organizing Center — Beta Terms of Service

First Disclaimer

This is a short, plain-language summary to help you understand the key points. It is not a substitute for the full terms below, which are what you legally agree to.

  • This is a beta. The product is still being built and tested. It will have bugs, go offline at times, and produce wrong or unexpected results. Don't rely on it for anything critical.
  • You must be 18 or older and based in the United States or the United Kingdom to use it.
  • The AI is a tool, not an expert. It is not a lawyer, doctor, therapist, or crisis service. Always apply human judgment and review its output before you use it.
  • You are responsible for what you put in. Don't upload sheets of private personal data or anything illegal into the AI tools.
  • Image generation uses data for training. You'll be asked to consent the first time you use it, and you can choose not to use it.

1. About these terms and your agreement

1.1 These Beta Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Tectonica Labs, Inc. ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company"), a Delaware corporation, governing your access to and use of the Organizing Center beta platform, including its AI assistants, graphics tools, group features, and related services (together, the "Service").

1.2 By checking the box to accept these Terms, creating an account, or otherwise accessing the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. You must accept these Terms before you can sign in for the first time. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1.3 If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to both you and that organization.

1.4 The Service runs on infrastructure provided by Change Agent and other third-party providers. Your use of the Service is also subject to Change Agent's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference and available at https://thechange.ai/legal. Where these Terms and Change Agent's terms conflict for matters specific to the Organizing Center, these Terms govern.

2. Beta status — please read carefully

2.1 The Service is provided as a beta (pilot) release. This means it is incomplete, under active development, and offered so that we can test it and gather feedback. You are taking part in a pilot.

2.2 You acknowledge and accept that, as a beta product, the Service:

  • may contain errors, defects, and bugs, and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected results;
  • may be unavailable, interrupted, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice;
  • may change, including features being added, altered, or removed; and
  • may result in loss or corruption of content or data.

2.3 Because this is a pilot, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and our liability is limited as set out in Section 11. You use the Service at your own risk and should not rely on it for any critical, time-sensitive, or high-stakes purpose. Keep your own copies of anything important.

2.4 We may invite you to give feedback. Any feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction or obligation to you.

3. Eligibility: age and location

3.1 Age. The Service is only for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. The Service is not directed to and may not be used by anyone under 18.

3.2 Location. By using the Service, you confirm that you are located in, and a resident of, the United States or the United Kingdom. The Service is configured for users in those countries and is not offered to users in the European Union or European Economic Area. If your eligibility changes, you must stop using the Service.

4. The Service

4.1 The Service includes AI-powered assistants ("coaches") that help you create and refine content, an image-generation feature, group features for organizing and collaboration, and tools for storing and managing information about your organization and its members and supporters.

4.2 During the beta, accounts are set up and held by group leaders. Group members may be added and tracked but do not necessarily have their own log-in to the Service at this stage. The person who creates a group is responsible for that group's use of the Service and for the people they add.

4.3 We may set, and change, limits on the Service — such as usage volumes, storage, or available features — at any time during the beta.

5. Acceptable use

5.1 You agree to use the Service lawfully and responsibly. You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose, or to violate the rights of others;
  • use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, or harm any person, or to plan or promote violence or harm to yourself or others;
  • use the Service as a substitute for professional advice or services — including medical, mental-health, crisis, legal, or financial services — or rely on it in an emergency;
  • attempt to bypass, disable, or manipulate the Service's safety features, content guardrails, or usage restrictions, including through indirect, hypothetical, or "role-play" prompts;
  • upload, generate, store, or share content that is illegal, including child sexual abuse material, or content that sexualizes minors, in any form;
  • use the Service to develop or test malicious code, or to attack, disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to any system; or
  • misrepresent the source of content, or present AI-generated content as human-authored where doing so would be deceptive or harmful.

5.2 If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, the Service cannot help you — please contact your local emergency services or a professional immediately.

5.3 We may review usage and content to operate, secure, and improve the Service, to enforce these Terms, and to comply with law. We may remove content or suspend access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms.

6. AI-generated content and its limits

6.1 The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate text, images, and other output. AI output can be inaccurate, outdated, biased, offensive, or misleading, and may not reflect our views or yours.

6.2 You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on or publishing it. Apply your own judgment, fact-check, and edit as needed. The Service is designed to support — not replace — human judgment ("elevation, not automation").

6.3 We make no promise that AI output is accurate, original, non-infringing, or fit for any particular purpose.

7. Your content and your responsibility for uploads

7.1 "Your Content" means anything you input, upload, or generate using the Service. As between you and us, you retain ownership of Your Content.

7.2 You are solely responsible for Your Content and for what you choose to upload. You confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it does not break the law or these Terms.

7.3 Be cautious when uploading private or sensitive personal data into the AI tools. In particular lists, spreadsheets, or files of third parties' personal data — such as donor or supporter lists with names, phone numbers, or addresses. Avoid uploading confidential documents or anything you would not be comfortable having stored or seen by another person. While we do not train our coaches with the data you upload, others could have access to your chats or be aware of the information.

7.5 Your Content, including content generated through the Service, may be stored on our systems and may be reviewed by authorized staff to operate, support, secure, and moderate the Service. Because content you upload or generate persists in the system, uploading illegal content can create legal liability for you and for us — so it is strictly prohibited (see Section 5.1).

8. Member and supporter data

8.1 The Service lets you store and manage information about your organization's members and supporters. You are the controller of that information and are responsible for having a lawful basis and any necessary consent to hold and use it.

8.2 Access to a person's records is consent-gated: you can provide and access records only for individuals whose information you hold legitimately and can verify (for example, by their email and other identifying details). The Service is not designed to let you extract or look up personal data about people whose details you do not already hold.

9. Data, privacy, and model training

9.1 We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy and, for the underlying platform, Change Agent's Privacy Policy at https://thechange.ai/legal.

9.2 General content. We do not use the content of your coach conversations and uploads to train AI models. As noted in Section 7.5, that content may be stored and may be reviewed by authorized staff to run and improve the Service.

9.3 The graphic eCoach (image generation). The graphic eCoach works differently. The underlying image model (which is owned by Black Forest) is trained on the images you generate from scratch using the tool. It is not trained on images you upload, and it is not trained on the edits you make to an image. The first time you use the graphic eCoach, we will show you a short explanation of what this means and ask you to confirm you understand and agree. If you do not agree, you can simply choose not to use the graphic eCoach — the rest of the Service remains available to you.

9.4 What "training" means, in plain terms. "Training" means data is used to help AI models learn and improve. We treat content that is already publicly available online much like a photo that is already out in the open, and many mainstream tools you already use (including services such as Google and Gmail) train on data in similar ways. Even so, we recommend you do not upload highly private documents, and you should never upload private photos or anything you would not be willing to post publicly. Anyone who is uncomfortable with this can choose not to use the image feature.

9.5 Image generation is provided using third-party technology (including Black Forest). Your use of it is also subject to that provider's terms where applicable.

10. Intellectual property

10.1 We and our licensors own the Service itself — including its software, design, and content we provide — and all related intellectual-property rights. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service during the beta in accordance with these Terms.

10.2 You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, and otherwise use Your Content as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service and to comply with law. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, except for backups kept for a limited time and content we must retain by law.

10.3 Rights in AI output as between you and us are assigned to you to the extent we hold them; we make no warranty that AI output does not infringe the rights of others (see Section 6.3).

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

11.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any output will be accurate or reliable.

11.2 Because this is a beta pilot in which problems are expected, you accept a higher tolerance for error than you would for a finished product. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from beta defects, downtime, data loss, or reliance on AI output.

11.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service and these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars ($100). [CONFIRM CAP WITH COUNSEL]

11.4 Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnification

12.1 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

13. Suspension and termination

13.1 You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access at any time during the beta, with or without notice, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Service or others.

13.2 Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 — will survive.

14. Changes, governing law, and contact

14.1 Changes. We may update these Terms during the beta. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, and your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14.2 Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located there.

14.3 Entire agreement; severability. These Terms (together with the documents they reference) are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

14.4 Reporting problems and contacting us. You can report a bug, flag something that looks wrong, or send a suggestion through the in-product reporting tool. Reports come to our team and are handled in order. You can also contact us directly at info@organizing.center.

15. Your acknowledgement

By checking the box and continuing, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old and located in the United States or the United Kingdom;
  • you understand this is a beta product that will contain errors and may be unavailable, and you accept the risks of using it;
  • you understand the AI is a tool, not professional advice, and you are responsible for reviewing its output;
  • you are responsible for what you upload and will not upload private personal-data files or illegal content into the AI tools; and
  • you have read and agree to these Beta Terms of Service.
